ABOUT ME

I discovered my passion for music as a teenager when my parents bought me my first drum kit. As a student, I played percussion in the band and sang the bass parts in the choir, but my true focus at that time was the high school band called "This Weeks Trend," which my friends and I founded. This musical project gave me my first experience in a recording studio! We recorded our music at Bricktop Recording, with Adrian Kobziar, who would later become a colleague of mine.

During my college years, I used my background in rhythm to produce EDM music under the name NiftySwell. This phase marked a significant milestone in my expertise, as I honed my music production skills and familiarized myself with multiple DAWs. My studies at DePaul University gave me the technical grounding I needed in recording techniques and provided me with access to professional-grade equipment. College also provided me with my first opportunity to use a video game engine. I collaborated with multiple students in DePaul’s game development program and I created music & games for multiple projects.

I eventually interned at professional recording studios in Chicago, including Electrical Audio and CRC. These opportunities allowed me to gain more audio experience and embark on my freelance career recording out of studios like Jamdek.

Today, I have worked on a diverse range of projects, from recording bands and mastering singles to editing dialogue audio for video games and sound designing films. My goal over the next few years is to expand the amount of work that I’m doing in the video game industry and continue working with musicians as often as possible.

I love working with a small team of like-minded creatives, and can’t wait to learn from others as I progress through my career.
